The CADTERNS program is designed for use with Windows XP and probably requires Administrator privileges during installation.

To download CADTERNS software to your hard drive:

• Print this page for reference
• Close all other programs that are running
• Disable any virus checker that responds to files being added
• Click on the appropriate link below

Internet Explorer

• On "File Download - Security Warning" dialog box:
  • Click on "Save"
• On "Save As" dialog box:
  • Choose a folder in which to download the file
  • Click on "Save"
• On "Download Complete" dialog box:
  • Click on "Run"
• On the "Open File - Security Warning - The publisher could not be verified" dialog box, click on "Run"

Mozilla Firefox

• On "Opening File" dialog box:
  • Click on "Save File"
• On the "Downloads" list:
  • Double click on the file name
• On the "Open Executable File" dialog box:
  • Click on "OK"
• On the "Open File - Security Warning - The publisher could not be verified" dialog box:
  • Click on "Run"

• At WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box:
  • Confirm "C:\Temp\Cadterns" as the temporary folder in which to unzip the file, or enter an alternative folder name
  • Check the "Overwrite Files Without Prompting" checkbox
  • Check the "When Done Unzipping Run: Setup.exe" checkbox
  • Click on Unzip button
• Wait while the file is unzipped then click on "OK"
• If you encounter a "SETUP Dialog Box Error - Could not copy file...."
  • Re-boot your computer, close all other programs and run "c:\temp\setup.exe"
  • In Windows Explorer, navigate to the download folder
  • Double click on the appropriate CADTERNS .exe file
• Follow the CADTERNS set-up instructions
• If you choose, run a virus scan on the CADTERNS folder
• Save the downloaded files on a CD or DVD for backup purposes.
