Pro
Version 5 for Windows is the ultimate in custom patternmaking
software features the following options:
- Enter basic personal measurements;
- Enter additional personal measurements if you choose;
- Adjust amounts of ease;
- Generate personal fitted slopers;
- Print slopers directly from CADTERNS;
- Export slopers automatically to your CAD program,
such as AutoCAD or AutoSketch (not included), where they can be styled
into a fashionable pattern using flat patternmaking techniques.

The following are the minimum hardware
requirements for the use of CADTERNS for Windows, Version 5:
- COMPUTER: IBM compatible computer with
386 or higher CPU. A math co-processor is recommended with AutoSketch and required with
AutoCAD.
- MEMORY: A minimum of 4 megabytes of RAM.
- HARD DISK DRIVE: The CADTERNS
program files use approximately 22 megabytes of memory. Sloper and drawing files take additional memory.
- MONITOR: A Windows-compatible video
display adapter with VGA or better resolution.
- MOUSE: A Windows compatible mouse.
- PRINTER: A printer or plotter is
required to print slopers and patterns. Strips from form feed printers and sheets from
sheet feed printers can be taped together to form the complete sloper or pattern.
The following software must have been previously
installed on the computer:
- Microsoft Windows XP or later.
- A Computer Assisted Drafting Program:
- AutoSketch for Windows Release 2 or later.
- AutoCAD LT
- AutoCAD 10 for Windows or later.
- Versions of AutoSketch or AutoCAD for DOS or any other
program that accepts DXF files can also be used; however, slopers created using these
other versions must be loaded using the CAD program's standard instructions for reading or
importing a DXF. Only Windows versions of AutoSketch or AutoCAD can be loaded using the
CADTERNS
automatic loading feature.
