CADTERNS 300 Room – Mentored Independent Study

Digital Patternmaking Expert - using CADTERNS Version 5 plus a CAD Program + Other Program (Optional)

• The purpose of the 300 Room is independent study. The participant chooses a project which may be for solving a problem, creating and using 3rd Generation slopers, or a different project defined by the participant and approved as suitable.

• Third-Generation Sloper: Individual fashion artists develop G3 (Third-Generation) Slopers. These slopers are personal Signature adaptations of CADTERNS First and Second-Generation Slopers with small but distinctive modifications in cut as determined by ease allotments only. As with G1 and G2 slopers, G3 slopers can be created using CADTERNS software alone, needing no additional programs.

• Wardrobes: Using G1, G2 and G3 slopers, participants must demonstrate expert level of wardrobe planning and fulfillment through styling with ease and designing with style.

• Design expertise must be demonstrated through the planning and fulfillment of a personal wardrobe using personal slopers only, with attention to elements and principles of design.

• Someone from CADTERNS will visit this room and its participants at scheduled intervals for occasional help. If more concentrated help is needed, private coaching may be arranged at 10 minutes for 10 dollars (US). Coaching is limited to Dart Art 1 and Dart Art 2 including Fullness Adjustment, Finish and practical application.
