Jacket is a first generation sloper consisting of a two-piece fitted back, one-piece front
with separate lapel, two piece sleeve and collar. Pocket finishing pieces include a pocket
flap and a pocket binding strip. |

For a more informal blazer type of jacket,
square the curved seams for less fitting, then eliminate extra seams by aligning segmented
pattern pieces and drawing a polyline around the outside parameters. Interesting jacket
variations can result from collar and lapel modifications. |

| This tailored jacket provides
shaping for both the body of the jacket and the sleeve by adding seams that function
similarly to darts. It has an approximately five inch lapel with a 2-button closure. |
