FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE - AUGUST 15, 2002
VIRTUALLY
Back-to-CyberSchool
Interested
in life-long learning? CADTERNS® Custom Clothing Inc. today announced the first full
semester of personal patternmaking for apparel, available from the convenience of your own
home and your own personal schedule.
As a
student of the CADTERNS CSOL (CyberSchool of On-line Learning) you will learn how to style
pre-fitted personal slopers (basic garment patterns) into Designer Originals - your own!
Using the CADTERNS Fit-FIRST system of personal patternmaking, you will learn how to
become as independent as you wish of cookie-cutter couture using the quick and easy
CADTERNS system.
Enrolment requires a computer operating in Windows, email access, a digital sloper
(available in class), a printer, and $50.00 enrolment fee. Each week a new lesson will be
available, some of which will involve a project or a quiz due before the next lesson.
Applications are being accepted from now until September 15th for the fall 2002 semester
of cyber-lessons in apparel patternmaking. Even if you hated introductory geometry when
you were in school, this fun and practical application may just delight you. If you enjoy
sewing or can team up with someone who does, all the more so.
Successful applicants will be advised by e-mail for classes that begin October 1st.
Enrolment is limited and applicants using the CADTERNS personal patternmaking program will
have first consideration. Some lucky and deserving students will be invited to continue in
the winter (January until March) session at no extra charge.
No one is totally immune to fashion. Some actively engage in it, some simply tolerate it,
but anyone can take more control of his or her involvement with it. Technology facilitates
the growing community of fashion prosumers who choose to be involved in some or all of the
production of their own personal apparel.
